Printable pace band

Pick your race and goal time. Print a wrist band with every split, in miles or kilometers.

Even pace

-

How it works

Pick your race and goal finish time. We divide the time evenly over the distance (an even-pace plan) and list the cumulative time you should see at every mile or kilometer, plus the finish. Print it, cut it out and tape it around your wrist with clear tape, or save it to your phone.

Even pacing is a simple, safe plan for most runners. Courses with big hills will not split evenly, so use the band as a guide rather than a rule.

Not sure what goal to set? Use the race time predictor or browse goal pace charts.

Frequently asked questions

What is a pace band?

A strip of paper or a wristband listing the time you should reach at each mile or kilometer marker to finish in your goal time.

Should I run even splits?

An even pace is the simplest plan and works for most runners on flat courses. Adjust for hills and heat.
